Comiine
Legal

Delete your account.

You can erase your Comiine account and the personal data we control, at any time, from inside the app or by email. This page says exactly what goes, what stays, and why.

How to ask

Three ways in, one outcome.

Step 1

Open Comiine on your phone

Go to More, then Privacy & Consent, then Delete My Data. You will be asked to type a confirmation phrase, because this cannot be undone.

Step 2

Or email us instead

If you have lost access to the app or your device, email privacy@comiine.com from the address on your account. We will verify it is you before we act, and we will not ask for a password.

Step 3

We act, and we log it

Your request is recorded so we can show a regulator what we did and when. You do not need an account to make the request, and there is no charge.

Email privacy@comiine.com. We respond within the period the Botswana Data Protection Act, 2024 requires, and we aim to act sooner.

What is deleted

Your account, and the data that is yours.

  • Your sign-in account and the ability to sign in again.
  • Your name, work email and job role on your Comiine profile.
  • Your push-notification tokens, so the app can no longer reach your devices.
  • Any pending invitation addressed to you.
  • Your in-app notifications.
What stays, and why

Your employer’s records are your employer’s.

  • Work orders, inspections, meter readings, signatures and photos belonging to your employer’s organisation. Your employer is the controller of those records and may be legally required to keep them; ask your employer, and we will help them action your request.
  • Audit and sign-off records, which are append-only by design. Removing an entry would break the chain that makes the rest of it trustworthy, including for you.
  • A minimal, non-identifying marker that an account with your internal identifier once existed, so records that reference it do not become orphaned or ambiguous.

The honest version of the split

When you use Comiine at work there are two sets of data. The account that identifies you is ours to control, and you can have it erased. The maintenance and safety records you create belong to your employer, who decides how long to keep them and may have a legal duty to do so. We cannot delete your employer’s records on your instruction, and we would not want a product that let one person quietly remove a safety record. Ask your employer, and we will help them carry it out.
